Hotels in Lanzarote
There are hundreds of  good quality hotels in Lanzarote.  The bulk of which are located in the islands newest resort of Playa Blanca.

Playa Blanca really was just a small fishing village some fifteen years ago. But all that has changed now.  As the resorts excellent microclimate and beautiful beaches has attracted the attentions of some of Spain´s largest hotel groups.  Such as the Sol Melia company – who opened the five star Gan Melia Volcan in the Rubicon Marina development a few years ago.

Indeed most of the coastline is now occupied by new four and five star establishments – offering tourists a great range of choice.

Lanzarote´s most popular resort, Puerto del Carmen, is home to only two major hotels, the Los Fariones and the San Antonio.  Whilst the best hotel on the island – the Gran Melia Salinas, is located in Lanzarote´s most northerly resort, Costa Teguise.

Prices on the island obviously vat according to the season but a standard room in a four star hotel starts from around €80 per night.

Searching for villas in Lanzarote? You won’t be disappointed – as there’s no shortage of good quality private rental accommodation available across the island.

Some of the best can be found in the upmarket enclave of Los Mojones in Puerto del Carmen. Â Whilst the nearby marina of Puerto Calero is also home to a more limited range of luxurious villas.

Playa Blanca also boasts a good selection of villa accommodation – especially in areas such as Montaña Roja and Los Altos. With prices starting from around €400 per week for a standard two bedroom villa with pool. Â

The bulk of the best holiday apartments in Lanzarote can be found in and around Puerto del Carmen. Â As the resort was developed with complexes at the core of the blueprint.

Apartment accommodation offers a great value alternative in the current economic climate with some complexes, such as San Francisco Park offering one bedroom accommodation from just €28 per night.

Rural tourism has really taken off on the island in recent years.  As more and more visitors seek to connect with the ´real Lanzarote’.

For a genuine eco-experience head for the Finca de Arrieta, which is located just a few minutes walk from the seaside village of Arrieta and the unspoilt beach of Playa La Garita.
