Luxury holiday rentals are not often built to be environmentally friendly. But the Heredad Kamezi villas in Playa Blanca, Lanzarote, have been created to provide comfortable and stylish accommodation on precisely these lines. The thirty-one villas are all individually designed, with many features inspired by Lanzarote’s famous artist César Manrique.
So instead of air-conditioning, the layout has been carefully constructed to ensure that inside each villa guests can enjoy a cool and airy space, even in the height of summer. Likewise, each private pool is not only a different shape and size from its neighbour, but it is filled with desalinated seawater which is refreshed every day. The sophisticated recycling system is used to irrigate the gardens as well, once the water has been filtered.
The villas occupy a wonderful position, next to the sea, giving lovely views of the Atlantic Ocean and Fuerteventura, the neighbouring island. Each house has a private, secluded garden with its own grass lawn, built-in barbecue, pool and decking area for sun-bathing and a terrace for dining al-fresco. And their location in the southern most resort means that the best weather Lanzarote has to offer is also on tap, thanks to the local micro-climate which is a couple of degrees warmer than the rest of the island.
But the difference between the villas at Heredad Kamezi and other Lanzarote villas doesn’t end there. Because the complex also works on a unique basis – offering the services of a quality hotel to guests staying in villa accommodation. So there is a babysitting service available, a chef-for-hire, a housemaid service and a manned reception. Where the staff can arrange a hire car, an excursion or book a restaurant for the evening. An on-site supermarket makes self-catering particularly easy.
The well-equipped villas come with entertainment facilities such as DVD and CD players, internet access and a telephone. And the bathrooms are fitted with Jacuzzis and hydro-massage showers, ideal for a spot of pampering. Each kitchen comes complete with a dishwasher and all the facilities required for dining at home.
With all these creature comforts it can be difficult for guests to tear themselves away and explore the town and island, which has a variety of attractions to explore. But for those visitors who do get out and about, what better way to end the day than return to a private oasis next to the sea?

The villas look very nice and I am sure people would have a great time when staying at them.
I would also suggest that readers take a look at Holidays in Lanzarote . Vivid Canaries have some fantastic villas in some great locations.
