Are you travelling with your kids? In order to turn our family holiday into perfect family vacation, we need thorough planning because travelling with kids takes a certain kind of patience. We should have several checklists of “must haves” at all times. Why it is important to prepare checklist? Well, this list eliminates the panic of last-second packing for our family. It serves as a handy guide for repacking at the end of a trip and can even be beneficial in the unfortunate event of lost of stolen luggage.
I usually check the weather forecast for our destination and I plan accordingly. I also forget dress clothes this time because it is our family’s vacation, not a business trip. For the wardrobes of my children, I usually consider the events we will participate in both day and night. I also write down our possible outfit for each activity. I make sure to pack our clothes that coordinate well together and is based on complimentary colors. It is important to lay out the items you intend to take and re- examine your list, weed out single use items and extras.
I usually leave behind any flashy piece of jewelries that could attract thieves. Remember not to take what you do not want to lose. When it comes to toiletries, travel kits are always the best. I purchase them because these items comes in inexpensive travel sizes. I choose to bring a regular toothbrush over electric ones too. In order to avoid a mess in our luggage, I make sure to pack our travel kit in our carry-on bag. It is better to have them on hand during the flight.
You probably consider to bring travel documents, medication, traveler’s checks, keys and other valuables in your carry-on luggage. Just remember not to pack these items in checked luggage. Once you already know what to bring on your family vacation, begin packing! Always pack tightly to avoid wasting precious space and make sure to label your luggage inside and out with your name and telephone number.
