Discounted Vacation Rentals coming my way?

The first time I heard of VRDiscounts.com, I immediately thought some kind of vacation rental discounts would be on the show. By the time, I reached the homepage of this site I knew this was one site I was on the lookout for. Basically, I was looking to take a 7-day break from my hectic work schedule, and did not wish to spend a lot of money on my travel.

Armed with that desire, I decided to browse through VRDiscounts.com thinking it would give me a real decent and of course, a cheap offer for me. For starters though, I must say that the information is presented the way I had wanted it to. By the way, I did wish to take a break and wanted a cheap deal, but location was certainly not my constraint. I was prepared to go almost anywhere in the world, so long as I get full value for money!

Here is what I felt about the site.

Discounts by month

That’s new! With this, I could find there were discounts listed by month of the year. And not only this year, it also had the listings for next year. Wait, I wished to book something for the last week of September, and quite instantly I knew I had 37 places to go. One thing was for sure – I could get these 37 rentals at a cheaper rate, or so I thought!

Discounts by type

Just as I read on, I found that VRDiscounts.com also offered vacation rental discounts by the type of the rental I could choose. For example, I could see about 54 places for discount homes and 41 places for discount condos. I could also see 19 places for condos to choose from. Okay, this site is surely going to get me to the place I wished to go to.

Discounts by Destinations

As if all the vacation rental discounts listings offered by VRDiscounts.com until now were not enough, this site treats me to another set of discounts. This time – It is by destinations. I could see destinations all over the United States, Hawaii, and certain sections of the European continent. Asia and South East Asia were also included! Impressive I must say.

Without spending too much time, I came to know that Alberta, Canada seemed to have 2 discount listings. Why Alberta? Well staying in Florida, I definitely had a lot of sun to put up with, almost daily. Alberta could have given me a welcome change by treating me to some cold weather.

Put all the information together and you get a discount rental in the destination of your choice

Right by now, you have already seen three discount categories – By month; by type and by destinations. I would recommend you to use the By Month and by destinations categories. Using the by type category, you could constrict your search to a few places, and that necessarily may not fetch you the best deal.

Or simply you could use the By Destinations feature. This is one of the best ways to get your vacation rentals on the site without you having to waste a lot of time. Of course, for this you need to know beforehand the city you wish to go to. I benefited because I knew a bit of Alberta and was able to choose almost instantly.

Quality of Information

In terms of the information for each vacation rental rental, I must say that VRDiscounts.com takes care of two things admirably well. On first view of the rental, you get a brief synopsis of the rental with some of its important feature finding their way to the rental listing. If you wish to know more about the holiday rental in detail, click on the “View More” link and you would get detailed information on the rental with some more photographs.

As a traveler, I was so impressed with this that nothing was actually thrust on me, and I could make the choice if I wished to go in detail.

Areas of Improvement

In spite of me being in a hurry to book a rental to spend my summers, this site did not disappoint me. In fact, within 15 minutes I was able to hunt down the rental I wished to choose. But this may not be the case with all travelers! Some of them I know of, would just wish to spend a lot of time going through each and every bit of the page. For such travelers, VRDiscounts.com is not the best choice.

The second thing that bothered me was the presence of “Discounts by Type”! What add-on value would this provide to any traveler. Anyways, a traveler would be able to find out if a rental is a condo or a villa by looking in the details of the holiday  rental when he gets there. In such a scenario, I find this bit of information a bit redundant.

My Rating

In terms of delivery of purpose, I would rate VRDiscounts.com 10 on 10. It starts off a site that aims to get you to your discount rental homes, and I must say, it does achieve the goal. In terms of ease in navigation, I would give this site 8 on 10, with some modifications in the website design required. Last but not the least, in terms of quality of information, I would rate it 10 on 10.

Conclusion

Within 15 minutes, I could find a destination of my choice where I would get discounted vacation rentals at a rather cheap price. For me, this is good enough to convince that this site is full value for money. Don’t go around looking for hi-tech graphics on VRDiscounts.com, as you would hardly find any here. One thing you would find in abundance is the listing of rentals at discounted value.

And I must say, they have got lots of them!
