GETTING AROUND:

Getting to downtown from our apartment is quick and easy. We are on the same subway line as downtown (green). In 10 minutes you'll be walking on St-Catherine's street and joining the crowd of the Jazz festival. There is also a bus (line 61) going straight to the Old Port, right around the corner of our apartment. It takes about 20 minutes to get to Place D'Youville. If you prefer, you can take the metro and switch to the orange line; it will take you about 25 minutes to reach the Vieux-Montréal depending on the time of the day.



ACTIVITIES & NATURE:

2 blocks from St. Lawrence River--HUGE Park bordering the South shore of the island runs from Verdun to Lachine, with BIKE / ROLLERBLADE / WALKING PATHS, KAYAKING, SURFING, BEACH VOLLEYBALL, BASEBALL, BASKETBALL, PICNIC AREAS, etc. There are lots of exterior pools, playgrounds and family activities!



NEIGHBORHOOD:

The apartment is located in Verdun, part of the Pôle des Rapides. Call it a 21-km long protected recreational park, call it a historical site, call it a little slice of R&R heaven... its a great place! We are a corner away from Wellington street with its little cafés and restaurants. Every convenience within 2 minutes of walking (post office, groceries, pharmacies, shops etc) Easy parking on the street. 10 min from the LACHINE CANAL and the ATWATER MARKET. The subway station (VERDUN) is a corner away, and it will quickly bring you downtown or to the festivals.
