River Cottage is located on the banks of the River Vige it surrounded by 10 acres of private woodland.

The Gite can sleep six adults via, one double bedroom one twin bedroom and a sofa bed.

The lounge has an open stone fireplace idea for those cold winter nights.

The gite also has its own natural spring running from the hills behind the house.

A lovely beach lake is only a short drive away.

Nearby towns include Ambusson, Gueret and Bourganeuf.



Front garden is large and long with laid lawn.

There is a 80foot Douglas Pine to the right hand side which is very impressive and old !!

The natural spring with its own wash stone tub is still working and flows down to the river.

The rear garden is more wild with cherry and apple trees.

There is also a hazelnut tree on the left as you drive in.

Also 10 acres of private woodland via a small path from the garden.



Saint Martin Ste Catherine is close to Bourganeuf the first town in Europe to get electricity.

Ambusson is about a 30 min drive and famous for its tapestry s.

Gueret is also around a 30 min drive and is excellent for shopping.

A beach lake is close by with the usual summer activities.

The Wolf pack enclosure is very good so I am been told seeing wild wolves in action must be worth a visit.

There is also a Buffalo Farm and a flying school a little further out.
