Velog is a large victorian town house sitting in the pretty picturesque harbour village of Borth-y-Gest nestling on the shores of the Glaslyn Estuary. We are in a quiet residential road just off of the busy harbour front, which afords our guests a laid back relaxing stay to which they return again and again.
We have three double bedded en-suite rooms all fully fitted throughout and centrally heated.
Velog is just 15 minutes walk along the coastal parthway to Porthmadog which is a bustling town with many public houses, restaurants and shops. It also boasts the world famous Ffestiniog and WelshHighland railways. We are but 1 1/2 miles from Portmerrion the italianate village made famous by the Prisoner cult television series of the 1960's.
Velog sits at the gateway to the Snowdonia National Park as is just 30 minutes drive from Mount Snowdon. Snowdonia has many attractions and magnificient mountains, Lakes and Valleys to explore. We have wonderful beaches for those who like to take it easy and relax for a few days.
There is so much to see and do in this pretty part of North Wales, that coming to stay a Velog gives you a good base from which to explore, stay a few days and enjoy the scenery in our lovely home which offers you comfort, warmth and good home cooking.
