Allerona, which dates back to pre-Roman times, is a picturesque village perched on the top of a hill some 18 Km north of Orvieto in the direction of San Casciano dei Bagni. It commands magnificent views over the park of Villalba in one direction, the Calanche towards Fabro in another and Orvieto with its magnificent cathedral to the south. The Casa delle Cinque Lune is a recently restored small farmhouse just 1/2 Km from the village of Allerona and has equally breathtaking views including one towards the village of Allerona. The large pool (6m x 12m) is situated at a slightly higher level, has a large terrace surrounding it with sun-beds and deckchairs and a large covered patio for 'al fresco' meals.
