Kristinhus, Traditional, Renovated House in Peaceful Froðba, Faroe Islands
Kristinhus is a very old house, built sometimes in the 18th century, nobody knows exactly when. Kristinhus was renovated and modernised in 2009. It has most of the modern facilities you need, and yet it has a cozy atmosphere, located in the old part of the small village Frodba in the southernmost island of the Faroe Islands, which is called Suduroy (South Island).
There are five bedrooms: Four double or twin and one triple, all of them have new beds with box mattresses and top mattresses. The triple room is on the ground floor, the others are on the 1st and 2nd floor. The kitchen and dining room are on the ground floor. The bathroom is on the 1st floor. There are two living rooms: one is on 1st floor with a French balcony and one is on the 2nd floor, where the gable is made of glass. You can sit there and enjoy the peacefulness, the only sound you hear are from the little river outside and from the sheep, which are grassing outside. There is a wonderful view to the sea, the landscape and the mountain just above the house.
You can park your car (if you have one) just outside the house. The crime rate is very low in the Faroe Islands. www.visitsuduroy.fo
