Le Conte du Graal is a lovely, comfortable holiday cottage in the middle of Cathar Country, Languedoc-Roussillon, France. It has its own gate and parking space and large secluded garden with views towards the Pyrenees.
Interior:
There is a living room with satelite tv, stereo, dvd, two comfortable relaxing chairs, a dining area, a fully equiped kitchen with washing machine, diswasher, microwave, gass cooker (4 sources), a shower room with toilet & sink, a romantic bedroom and a stunning garden with lovely views. There is sufficient heating available for the cold days.
Exterior:
Outside there is a terrace with two reclining chairs and a table, two sunbeds, a barbecue and enough space for a nice game of badminton or petanque!
Nextdoor live the owners of the cottage, which is handy when you have a problem, or when you need tips and advice for your holiday!
Surrounding area:
This is the area where history has shaped the countryside and nature is still wild and stunningly beautiful.
From the holiday cottage you can explore the Pyrenees, the Ariège with its mountains, caves and castles, the Aude with the medieval town of Carcassonne, the biggest medieval city in Europe, the Corbière with its mysterious village of Rennes-le-Chateau and many other enigmatic sites, and the Roussillon with its beaches, abbeys and stunning countryside.
The Route du Vin starts just down the road from the cottage and with a lovely auberge across the road the self catering cottage doesn't mean cooking every day!
Come and explore Cathar Country and enjoy the countryside in all seasons, enjoying the beautiful views from the tops of mountains and castles. Stroll through ancient places, make a day trip to one of the many wintersport centers for a ski adventure in Winter, or go for walks or a horse riding tour any time of the year. There is wild water rafting in Summer and to cool off, there is a stunning open air heated swimming pool 10 minutes down the road!
