It’s Paleochora is a small tourist resort located in the beautiful and unspoilt south-west tip of Crete. It’s famous for its mild climate and its beaches, all of which have been awarded coveted "Blue Flag" status .

The Zafiri Hotel is a family hotel run by the Belivanakis family and is located in the heart of Paleochora, immediatley below the Venitian/Turkish Fortress, the “Fortezza”, about 30 metres from the sea and the biggest sandy beach in the area.

Zafiri Hotel has the advantage of not of not being on the main road and is therefore very quite, furthermore, it is only 100 metres away from the supermarket and less than 150 metres from the centre of Paleochora. The hotel is one of the few in the area that has a garden with trees and flowers; a natural source of cool and shade where you can have your breakfast and relax away from the afternoon sun.

Zafiri Hotel has recently been completely renovated and is equipped with all the modern facilities. We can offer studios and apartments with rooms to accommodate up to six people. Most rooms have a view of the sea, the castle or the garden. They all include a fully fitted kitchen with cooking equipment, fridge, dish washer, filter coffee maker, nescafe frappe machine, kettle etc. We also provide guests with an internet service and there is a wi.fi connection throughout the hotel.

The price includes air conditioning, television with satellite channels, and a safe box. All rooms have a wooden floor which makes the atmosphere in them cozy and stimulates the senses. The beds have new anatomical mattresses and pillows to guarantee you a restful sleep.

While in Paleochora you have opportunity to relax in the sun on one of the many beaches or to take ferry boat trips to the beautiful and famous Elafonissi with its pink sands and unique wild flowers; trips to Sougia and Agia Roumeli and famous Chora Sfakia; and also trips to the gorgeous island of ancient Kalypso, beautiful Gavdos.

From Paleochora you can also travel by car or bus to the many beautiful villages in the area and, for the more energetic, take a trip to walk down the Irini or Samaria Gorges.
