Abundance of sunshine, great location to area attractions, variety of activities within the complex, and the friendliest folks you will find anywhere. This park model in Rincon Country West is relaxing, comfortable, convenient and in a gated community. It can accommodate up to three people, but is most comfortable for two. The master bedroom has a queen bed and TV. The Arizona room provides an extra full size sofa sleeper. Sheets, pillowcases, and blankets are provided for each sleeping area as well as towels and washcloths. The kitchen has all the necessities needed to cook at home, should you choose to, including a microwave and coffeemaker. The living room has a small TV/DVD combination should you want to rent movies at Blockbusters around the corner or just watch cable TV. A hairdryer is provided in the bathroom. Whether your goal is to relax, keep busy, or both, this location can provide you with a wide variety of activities from relaxing by the heated pool, to soaking in the hot spa, to hiking in the desert, to snow skiing at Mt. Lemon, to learning to line dance. Tucson’s weather is perfect for an escape from the everyday hustle and bustle as well as for the active person looking to get out and explore the area. Mountains, desert, cacti, blue skies, and even movie legend John Wayne are waiting to share western heritage and history with you. Trace the footsteps of movie stars like John Wayne and Leonardo DiCaprio at Old Tucson Studios, a real-life movie set for westerns since 1939. Watch the beautiful sunrise each morning from the front porch while enjoying your morning coffee. Take a short walk around the complex to start your day. Stop by the recreation center and check the bulletin board for the days’ activities. Coffee is always available for free at the recreation center throughout the day and donuts are provided for free every Friday morning. Join everyone for the pancake breakfast on Saturday mornings. All you can eat for $2.00. Enjoy the cuisine from area restaurants when they occasionally cater dinners on Friday evenings. Go to lunch with the red hatters on Wednesdays. The list is endless. Regularly scheduled activities and classes include dancing (line, square and round dancing)-pottery and ceramics-exercise classes-art classes-billiards- woodworking-basketball-bridge-computer club-hiking-sewing and needlecrafts-shuffleboard-bingo-croquet and many more. Within five miles North of RCW and just around the corner you can find shopping at Mervyn’s, Fry’s Supermarket (like a Kroger’s), and a Walgreen’s. Within five miles to the south and around the corner you can find a Starbucks, Home Depot, Target, an Olive Garden, and other shops. There is public bus service within a quarter mile of the rental unit, but renting a vehicle would help you enjoy the area much more. Within 5 miles of the property you can find 3 medical centers - University Physicians Heathcare Hospital and Clinin, the VA Hospital, and Kino Community Hospital. Although the seasonal population (Oct.- April) of RCW is 55 plus which consist primarily of snowbirds, due to the popularity of this location you will find a wide range of ages. Some stay a week or a month while others stay 5 months. The unit is also great for business travelers due to the close proximity of the downtown area, easy to find, and only 20 minutes from the airport in traffic.

Downtown Tucson has an excess of great shopping, live entertainment, plenty of places to enjoy a delicious meal and much more. Every spring and fall there is a huge arts fair on 4th street downtown. People come from all over to show off their artistic talents. Within a 20 to 30 minute drive from RCW you can find several area attractions. The ASARCO Mineral Discovery Center-Arizona Opera-Desert Museum-Center of Creative Photography-International Wildlife Museum-Tucson Museum of Art-Reid Park Zoo-Tucson Symphony Orchestra-Botanical Gardens-University of Arizona Museum of Art-Kino Sports Complex-Arizona Historical Society-Ski Valley-Arizona State Museum-Xavier Mission- or Old Tucson (home of the western movies). Travel about 70 miles south and you can cross the border at Nogales, Mexico, a quaint little Mexican town and very easy to get to. Within a couple of hours you can find Tombstone State Park-Catalina State Park-Karchner Caverns-Picacho Peak State Park-Kitts Peak National Observatory-Saguaro National Park-Pima Air-and Space Museum. Sedona, Phoenix, Flagstaff, and the majestic Grand Canyon are within a four to five hour drive and you can reach San Diego and Las Vegas in approximately six hours driving time. This location provides you with a variety of places to explore during your stay.
