Our 2 bedroom and 2 bath gated condo has a breathtaking panoramic view of the water and the heated pool and pool area thru a 35-foot wall of 5-foot high windows (The windows are LowE3 and argon filled for comfort and energy efficiency). One of the boat docks available to residents is also part of the scenery from this second floor unit. Often, a pod of dolphins feeds on baitfish a couple of hundred yards offshore. One of my favorite pleasures is to watch the sunrise thru the palms surrounding the pool while the osprey call to each other and find their way to their favorite roost atop the sailboat masts docked nearby. All of the furniture and appliances and furnishings are brand new, with the exception of the dining room set. The kitchen has GE stainless steel appliances, as well as ample cabinets with granite countertops and ceramic tile floors. Both bathrooms have all new fixtures, cabinets with granite countertops and ceramic tile floors. The master bedroom and bath suite has a king size bed, a walk-in closet, as well as a hall closet and the bathroom has his and hers sinks and a 5 foot wide oversize shower. The guest bedroom suite has 2 queen size beds, a walk-in closet and a second closet and the bathroom has a soaker tub with shower. The guest bedroom opens into the Florida room thru a pair of 9 lite Prairie style pocket doors, revealing the panoramic view. The kitchen has an airy feel due to the bar, which opens to the dining and living area, which is completely open to the outside view. The landscaping along the water has just been re-done and looks fabulous with the walkway meandering along the seawall amongst the palms. Overall, the landscaping and exterior of the complex is immaculate. There are 4 pools, 2 of which are heated, including the one outside of our condo and the huge clubhouse pool. There are 4 tennis courts, shuffle board courts, 2 Jacuzzis, indoor bicycle storage, kayak storage with a launching ramp, and a 2 story clubhouse with a brand new, large, and state of the art fitness center, billiard room with 2 nine foot tables, poker room, reading room/library, and upstairs has 2 large adjoining meeting rooms, ballroom, arts and crafts room, and small kitchen. Also, just outside the clubhouse is the huge heated pool with the 2 Jacuzzis and an elevated gazebo. There are also many planned activities and opportunities to socialize in one of the most outgoing and active communities that I have ever seen. On site there is also a medical center, hair salon, butcher shop, and a designated car wash area. This condo is ideally located for easy and quick access to beaches, parks, shopping, restaurants, night life, pro sports, outdoor activities, water sports, cultural venues and easy access to other parts of Florida thru interstate 275. Eckerd College is a stone's throw away and offers numerous adult classes which many of our neighbors take advantage of. Downtown St Petersburg is 10 minutes away and the St Petersburg airport (PIE) is 15 minutes. Downtown Tampa is a 20 minute drive with the Tampa airport (TPA) being 25 minutes. The minimum rental period is 3 months and at least one resident must be at least 55. There are several discounts offered with a signed rental contract and cleared deposit and first month's rent: - $100 off 1st month's rent for rentals made at least 3 months and up to 6 months in advance. - $200 off 1st month's rent for rentals made at least 6 months and up to 12 months in advance. - $300 off first month's rent for rentals made 12 months or more in advance - Rental periods of at least 4 months and up to 6 months will be reduced by $100/month for the amount of time between 4 and 6 months. -Rental periods of greater than 6 months and up to 12 months will be reduced by $150/month for the amount of time between 6 and 12 months along with the discount listed above for the 4 to 6 month period. - Rental periods of greater than 12 months will be reduced by $200/month for the amount of time in excess of 12 months, as well as, the discounts listed above for the 4 to 6 and 6 to 12 month periods. The rental period doesn't have to be for full months and will be pro-rated according to the rental rate schedule. Any costs associated with collecting payment will be born by the renter. This includes PayPal fees. A signed rental agreement and funds that have cleared are required before the rental is finalized. For cancellations, refunds will be offered for the time that the property can be re-rented.
